《江山美人》没有将故事发生的时间定格在一个具体的朝代，而是利用架空的时代背景演绎了一段浪漫的童话。在诸侯割据，战火连天的年代，甄子丹饰演的大将军负责训练公主（陈慧琳饰）武功，后来公主被奸臣（郭晓冬饰）所害，随即逃出皇宫，幸得一位武功高强的隐士（黎明饰）所救，二人随即产生爱情，在隐士的帮助下，公主除掉了杀害父王的奸臣，并且夺回了王座。就在此时，公主却选择与隐士回归山林，为了爱情抛弃了大好江山。。Cahya gets a job as a maid working in an isolated old mansion. Pregnant and a recent widow, she is desperate to reconnect with her husband, opening a doorway to the spirit world.
