故事从在九州乡下长大的浅葱空豆（广濑铃饰）与梦想成为音乐家的青年海野音（永濑廉饰）的命运般的相遇开始。原本以为一辈子都不会再见面的两人却在东京一处开始了合租生活，他们早已坠入爱河，却没有开始恋爱，仿佛处在白天和黑夜之间的暧昧而耀眼的“黄昏时分”。。一群大学时的老朋友在加勒比海潜水之旅中重聚，探索二战战舰的残骸，发现自己被困在由大白鲨包围的生锈金属水下迷宫中。。Two narrators, one seen and one unseen, discuss possible connections between a series of paintings. The on-screen narrator walks through three-dimensional reproductions of each painting, featuring real people, sometimes moving, in an effort to explain the series' significance.。
